Anna Hicks has been a higher level teaching assistant at BRCA for 1 year, responsible for the academy behaviour monitoring. Prior to that Anna worked at BRCA as a 1:1 teaching assistant, at Merchants academy in the ARB, and at a mainstream school as a class teaching assistant. Anna retrained in 2014 to follow her passion of education having previously spent 22 years in Finance. I grew up in Yatton, went to Backwell Comprehensive before attending De Montfort University in Leicester. I now live in Wrington with my partner Jo Pallant, we have two daughters Evie Hardy (who is in Year 11 at Churchill) and Bea Hardy (who is in Year 8). I am currently the Managing Director of Richmond Event Management. We deliver a number of large scale projects and outdoor events across the UK. Locally you will know us for delivering the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. Most recently we worked as part of the team to build the NHS Nightingale Hospital, Bristol. During 2014/2015 I was seconded into Bristol 2015 Ltd, the company charged with delivering Bristol’s year as the UK’s first European Green Capital. I led the Operations and Commercial teams delivering a £12m programme and administering the £7m grant from the Department of Energy and Climate Change and £5m from 22 private sector partners. Outside of work I am a member of the West of England Initiative, Anchor Society, and Antient Society of St Stephens Ringers. I was President of the Bristol Junior Chamber (2017-2018) and Chairman of Young Bristol (2010-2017), a city wide youth organisation. I am also a member of the British Air Display Association and a Director of Bristol Festivals.
