SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT (ASD)–KS1
Fixed term until 31st August 2020, part time (31.25 hours per week) term time only including inset days.
Salary: VTG 6, SP15-18 £17,413 to £18,431 per annum, pro rata (actual salary £12,579 - £13,314 per annum) + Health Care Cash Plan and Benefits Package.
Venturers Trust is a new Multi Academy Trust based in Bristol formed through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust in September 2017. Comprising Primary, Secondary, all-age schools and a Special school the Trust has 3,200 pupils and 700 staff.

Applications are invited from high quality candidates to join an exciting and committed team at Bannerman Road Community Academy. We are looking to recruit an SEND TA who is genuinely inspired to work with children with additional needs (ASC) within a strong, supportive team, delivering high quality provision for the children within our care.
Previous experience of working with children is essential as is flexibility and a sense of humour. We strive to offer the highest level of education and trust that you will have equally high expectations. The Trust offers a wide variety of CPD opportunities.
The successful candidate will have:
• GCSEs at Grade C or above in English and maths (or equivalent qualifications).
• CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification.
• A proficiency in improving basic numeracy and literacy with specialist skills in literacy that will enable you to work with targeted individuals.
• Commitment to continuing personal and professional development.
• Experience of, desire to develop knowledge of working with children with ASD/ SEMH needs
• Understanding of principles of child development and learning processes and barriers to learning
