SENIOR ADMINISTRATOR AND CLERK TO THE GOVERNORS

37 hrs per week – TTO + 2 weeks

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Administrator and Clerk to the Governors at Bannerman Road Community Academy.

Venturers Trust is a new Multi Academy Trust based in Bristol formed through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust in September 2017. Comprising Primary, Secondary, all-age schools and a Special school the Trust has 3,200 pupils and 700 staff.

The Trust is sponsored by the Society of Merchant Venturers and the University of Bristol. Both sponsors seek to ensure that all our young people receive a truly inspiring education. Their support, challenge and expertise are greatly valued.

As a Senior Administrator and Clerk to the Governors, you will work closely with the Senior Team as well as the Local Governing Body to provide complex advisory and administrative support.  You will be responsible for the design and effective operation of administrative process and procedures within the School and have line management responsibility for admin staff.

The role will also involve working closely with the Principal and Trust Team with regard to Finance and HR matters including oversight of budgets, recruitment and absence reporting.

You will have:

  • A minimum of GCSE Grade C in Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications)
  • Experience of general clerical/administration including notetaking/minutes
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the resilience to work under pressure
  • Some budget management and general finance awareness

The ideal candidate will also have experience of working within an education setting ideally having knowledge of SIMS administration and experience as Clerk to a Governing Body.
