Salary:VTG9 SP26-SP29 £23,865 – £26,470 per annum, pro rata (actual salary £20,412 - £22,640 per annum) + Health Cash Plan and Benefit package

Venturers Trust is a new Multi Academy Trust based in Bristol formed through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust in September 2017. Comprising Primary, Secondary, all-age schools and a Special school the Trust has 3,200 pupils and 700 staff.

Applications are invited from high quality candidates to join an exciting and committed team at Bannerman Road Community Academy. We are seeking a dedicated individual who will contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities and assist and support the work of qualified teachers. This will necessitate working with individuals, small groups and whole classes where the assigned teacher is not present.  


Candidates for this post will:


• Meet HLTA standards or equivalent qualification or experience. 

• Hold relevant qualifications at a level equivalent to at least NQF Level 3.

• Be educated to a high standard with a minimum GCSE grade C in English and mathematics (or equivalent qualifications) or NVQ Level 2 (or by test). 

• Have trained in relevant learning strategies, e.g. literacy. 

• Have evidence of specialism in specific curriculum areas or areas of particular learning difficulty.


It will also be desirable to have further qualifications in education – e.g SEND promoting positive play and behaviour in schools.
